Milestones I'm Manifesting

Updated: May 5

aka: a hopeful list of proud spider mom moments to come

Steve is still in his slightly chaotic toddler phase—parts half-replaced, limbs occasionally rebellious—but I’ve got big dreams for him. Some of these haven’t happened yet, but I’m crossing my fingers (and wires) that these milestones will be real soon.

All Limbs, No Drama

🤞 Hoping to get all four of Steve’s legs securely mounted with zero stripped screws or servo meltdowns. Once he’s fully assembled, I’m manifesting graceful, symmetrical movement—or at least controlled chaos.

A Confident Crawl (or Wobble)

I want to see Steve take his first real walk across the floor. Not just twitching or spinning in circles—actual, semi-balanced movement. I imagine him skittering forward like a weird little wind-up toy, and I will cry (happily) when it happens.

First Full Dance Sequence

I'm building up to this: a programmed routine that makes Steve look like he's vibing to a beat. It might just be a few funky leg lifts and spins, but in my head, he’s already a backup dancer on tour with Daft Punk.

Running Strong

Steve's biggest issue is continuously running, unfortunately Steve gets a little too energetic and has burnt his original board so hopefully none of that this time around. My dream is to watch Steve to operate, uninterrupted, for half an hour. No servo burnout. No tantrums. If he can keep it together that long, I’ll officially call it: he's grown.
